Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Review

Rolled credits for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance and honestly what an incredible experience. The game improves on almost everything from the vanilla version, better story pacing, more meaningful character moments, better exploration, and gameplay that feels even more refined and addictive. The combat is fantastic, the soundtrack was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was unmatched from beginning to end. Definitely the definitive way to experience SMT plus I would highly suggest choosing the Canon of Vengeance storyline for a first playthrough and then go through the Canon of Creation on New Game+

Ariana and the Elder Codex Review

Finished Ariana and the Elder Codex, and it was an enjoyable experience. The adventure shines thanks to magic system and beautiful storybook-style presentation. The combat is where the game stands out, experimenting with the all elemental skills adds an amount of depth. Mixing and matching elements keeps battles fresh and pushes you to adapt your strategy instead of relying on one approach. And the boss fights are amazing, each one feeling like a test of everything you’ve learned with mechanics. It also works well as a Metroidvania, with exploration, backtracking, and ability upgrades that open up new paths and secrets across the map. Discovering new areas and unlocking the world adds another layer of enjoyment to the overall experience. There are a few hiccups here and there, but nothing major enough to drag the experience down. In the end, it’s a fun, charming, and memorable journey that’s definitely worth it!
