007 First Light Review
So, I rolled the credits on 007 First Light, and I had a fun time with it overall. The story was fantastic and kept me invested. The gameplay felt smooth and fluid, the soundtrack and score were well done, and the pacing was one of the game’s biggest strengths. It felt like I was playing through a blockbuster spy movie. What I appreciated most was the freedom the game gives you. Most missions offer multiple ways to approach objectives, whether you prefer stealth, gadgets, or a more direct approach. That flexibility made every mission feel engaging and encouraged experimentation instead of forcing a single playstyle. That said, the game isn’t without the flaws. I experienced quite a few crashes throughout my playthrough, which could be frustrating at times. While the missions offer choice, the overall experience is still very scripted and linear, and the driving mechanics never really clicked with me, they felt serviceable but far from a highlight. I also found the boss fights to be surprisingly simple and, unfortunately, not very memorable. For a game built around high-stakes and larger-than-life villains, I expected more challenging encounters. Even with those hiccups, I still walked away impressed. 007 First Light delivers an exciting spy adventure with a fun story, excellent presentation, memorable music, and fun mission design. It’s not a flawless game, but it’s an enjoyable Bond experience that captures the cinematic feel of the franchise and keeps you entertained throughout the journey
